Helping Hands CPR

Meet Your Instructor
"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:21
Helping Hands was founded by Roslyn W. Pickney, a dedicated CPR instructor and certified nurse assistant with over 30 years of experience in healthcare. Roslyn’s heart for service and passion for helping others inspired the creation of Helping Hands CPR—a place where compassion meets purpose. Through her classes, she empowers others to act with confidence in critical moments, making a lasting difference in someone’s life.
My Story
My name is Roslyn W. Pickney, and helping people has always been at the heart of who I am. I’ve been a CPR instructor since 2003 and a certified nurse assistant for over 30 years. Throughout my journey, one thing has remained the same—my desire to serve others with kindness, patience, and compassion.
I chose the name Helping Hands because that’s what I love to do—help. Whether it’s caring for a patient, teaching a student, or offering encouragement, I believe that being of service is part of my purpose. Helping Hands CPR was created to give others the knowledge and confidence to save lives, because every set of hands can make a difference.
The idea for Helping Hands came to life through a conversation with a dear friend. She reminded me how much I love listening to and teaching people, and how I have the ability to make a real impact. She told me, “Whatever you put your mind to, you’ll make happen.” And she was right. That encouragement planted a seed that grew into Helping Hands CPR.
Over the years, I’ve learned to adapt to different people, situations, and challenges—and each experience has strengthened my belief that helping others is what I was called to do. Through this work, I hope to continue making a difference, one heartbeat, one student, one Helping Hand at a time.
